Kids Zone Activites

The historic South Coast HWY sets the stage for what will become an instant classic family event, the Encinitas Grand Prix - Kids Fun Zone. Three primary components are included in the Kids Fun Zone. They are the Bike Rodeo, Kids Sprint Races and Fun Zone.

Bike Rodeo

Hosted by the Swami's Cycling Club, the Bike Rodeo is a kids, parents and school teacher safe riding and skills program that will take place inside the Kids Fun Zone.

The focus is to teach kids the basic rules of the road and safe riding practices.

All Kids can get a FREE bicycle safety inspection and basic services from one of our Certified Technicians.

Additionally, the Encinitas Grand Prix, Podium Cycles and the Swami's Cycling Club deliver several Swami's Bike Rodeo and Youth Safety Programs throughout the year. The most recent was held at the Paul Ecke Central Elementary School where over 85 kids, their parents and teachers participated. Please follow this link to learn more about the Swami's Bike Rodeo and Youth Safety Programs.

Kids Sprint Races

All kids will get the chance to show their stuff in the FREE Kids Sprint Races.

Categorized by age and started in waves, sprints will start at the south end of the front straight and conclude at the Finish line of the Encinitas Grand Prix.

All kids who participate will earn a custom Encinitas Grand Prix Champions Medal.

Parents are invited to "coach" their kids as they navigate the course.

All Kids Sprints participants must wear a helmet.

Fun Zone

Open all day and FREE to all kids, the Fun Zone features a Moon Bounce, Climbing Wall, Face Painting and Drawing Center.

Kids and their parents can have as much fun as they can muster at the Encinitas Grand Prix Kids Fun Zone
